AUSTIN—Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced committee assignments Friday with Senator Paxton serving as Vice-Chair of Property Tax and sitting on the committees of Business & Commerce, Education, and Natural Resources & Economic Development.

"I am honored and eager to begin the work of serving as Vice-Chair of Property Tax and bringing real property tax relief to Texans. In the coming 140 days my priorities will be focused on providing property tax relief, improving student outcomes in our public schools, continuing to advocate for policies that promote a strong economy in Senate District 8 and Texas, and protecting the sanctity of human life," Senator Paxton said. "I'm looking forward to working hand in hand with constituents, elected officials, and our fantastic House delegation this session to accomplish the important work I've been sent to do. I am thankful for this great opportunity to make a difference, and I will make it count."
