Interfaith Call to Prayer at 419 Emancipation Ave

HOUSTON - The Dominican Sisters of Houston, Dominican Family, and representatives of the Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, and Christian faith traditions and other persons of faith are coming together on Thursday evening to pray for the rapid reunification of the children separated from their families. They will also pray for the moral courage of our leaders to act with mercy and compassion as they seek a legislative solution to this human struggle. We will carry candles in hope of being the light in the midst of this darkness and pray for our siblings of faith throughout this country who are marching, kneeling, and acting for justice.

WHERE: Outside of 419 Emancipation Avenue in Houston, Texas
WHEN: 7:30PM - 8:30PM, Thursday, June 28, 2018
WHAT: One hour prayer service
WHO: Members of various faith traditions. The following faith leaders have confirmed as of time of release: Sister Mary Brenda, OP, Dominican Sisters; Rabbi Josh Fixler, Congregation Emanu El Houston; Amina Ishaq, Maryam Islamic Center; Rev. Jonathan Page, First Congregational Church; and David Leslie, Executive Director of Rothko Chapel
