Livingston, TX — Today, State Senator Robert Nichols (R) joined Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) to present Texas Ranger Ron Duff the Partners in Courage Volunteer Award for his work with Childrenz Haven CAC of Polk County.
"I am honored to present this award to Ranger Duff today" said Nichols. "It is because of the hard work and dedication from individuals such as him, we are able to provide the necessary services for children in our area who have been abused."
Ranger Duff was presented the award from CACTX for his dedication in helping abused children through the investigation, prosecution, and provision of healing services in cases involving crimes against children.
"We are very grateful to Ranger Duff for his commitment to working with Childrenz Haven. Without people like him and the support of our community, we would not be able to fulfill our vision in ensuring that future generations of children will be able to lead lives free of abuse," said Susie Adams, Executive Director of Childrenz Haven.
CACTX's mission is to restore the lives of abused children by supporting children's advocacy centers, such as Childrenz Haven CAC in Polk County, in partnership with local communities and agencies investigating and prosecuting child abuse.
Children are referred to Childrenz Haven by law enforcement officials, Child Protective Services investigators, and medical professionals. Childrenz Haven is able to provide a supportive and nurturing environment in which a child who has been abused or has witnessed a violent crime can interact with the necessary agencies.
