AUSTIN – Today Texas State Senator Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, traveled to the state's southern border joined by five other Senators working to highlight the humanitarian crisis unfolding in south Texas.
"Compassion without competence leads to chaos, which is exactly what we witnessed today at the border. Children are suffering. Adults are suffering. And what's worse is that their suffering was completely preventable. If this administration does not alter its course — they are putting thousands of young girls and boys at risk of human trafficking, abuse and exploitation," Senator Nelson said. "It's wrong. It's inhumane. And it's hurting the very people this administration says they want to help."
