Your personal tour of UNT Dallas' Second Building
August 26, 2010 represented a monumental step in the maturation of the University of North Texas at Dallas, as the doors to the campus' second building opened to usher in its' inaugural freshman class.
The realization of a vision that began in 1997 has manifested itself from the hopes and dreams of community leaders and laypersons that desired public higher education for the masses in Dallas, the Best Southwest communities and North Central Texas, to the finalization of a 100,000 square foot building that welcomes students and community alike.
From dirt to desks in 104 days, the initial UNT System Center was replaced by the campus' first building in January 2007. Now, we've added the second building that includes state-of-the-art, green technology features, classroom and laboratory space, an auditorium, a library, and community and dining areas that continue the build out of the master plan for the campus that will enroll some 16,000 students by 2030, with an eventual enrollment of 30,000.
A view from the ecological-friendly roof top deck permits a glimpse into the limitless possibilities of the campus that will serve students, the community and the region.
Join me for a photographic tour of the University of North Texas at Dallas' second building that we dreamed of, worked hard to obtain and now celebrate.
