Sen. Kelly Hancock Statement on U.S. Supreme Court 'Remain-in-Mexico' Ruling

AUSTIN, TX - Sen. Kelly Hancock, Veteran Affairs & Border Security Committee Chairman, today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling reinstating the Migrant Protection Protocols, or "remain-in-Mexico" policy:

"A border crisis is a drug crisis, a public safety crisis, a human trafficking crisis, and a COVID-import crisis all-in-one. Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling is a welcome legal win for Texas as our state continues to step up where the Biden Administration has abdicated its duty at the border."

Sen. Hancock represents Texas Senate District 9, which includes portions of Dallas and Tarrant Counties. He currently serves as Chairman of the Veteran Affairs & Border Security Committee.
