AUSTIN, TX - With four weeks remaining in the 87th Regular Legislative Session, the Texas Legislature is continuing to advance dozens of bills related to February's winter storm power outages, with winterization plans, ERCOT reform and market stability among emerging key priorities.
“Since the first investigative hearing on the across-the-board failures impacting the electric grid, we've promised Texans three things - answers, accountability and solutions," said Sen. Kelly Hancock, Chairman of the Texas Senate Business and Commerce Committee. "Legislators filed more than 100 bills to offer those solutions, and many are well on their way to becoming law."
Hancock's Business and Commerce Committee today published online an interactive tracking document summarizing several of the measures actively moving through the legislative process.
