AUSTIN, TX -- Earlier today after suffering a mild heart attack, Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr., successfully underwent a cardiac catherization followed by angioplasty, which restored the blood flow to his heart.

The Senator is in stable condition and resting comfortably at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. He is in good spirits, hoping to be released within the next few days, and is anxious to get back to work representing the people of Senate District 27.
