Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa to Present
Ceremonial Rifles to American Legion Post 93
WHAT:

Senator Hinojosa will present ceremonial rifles to American Legion Post 93 to be used by their Honor Guard for the 21 gun salute when executing military honors for our deceased veterans at State Veterans Ceremony located in Mission, Texas.

Through a competitive application process with the Department of the U.S. Army - Army Donations Program, American Legion Post 93 was approved to receive United States Army owned rifles for ceremonial use.

As a Vietnam Veteran for the United States Marine Corps, Senator Hinojosa is honored to be presenting the ceremonial rifles and shares the Honor Guard's passion and dedication to honor those who have served.

Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa proudly represents the counties of Nueces, Jim Wells, Brooks, and Hidalgo (part). Senator Hinojosa served as the Senate President Pro Tempore of the Texas Senate in the 84th Texas Legislature. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, and serves on the Senate Committees on Natural Resources & Economic Development; Criminal Justice; Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs as well as the Sunset Advisory Commission.
