(Austin, TX) — The Senate Committee on International Relations and Trade will hear SCR 5, which calls for a Legislative Study to help bring cruise ships to Corpus Christi. Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa will be available for comment shortly after.
"If this region is successful in luring a cruise line to one of the three ports, it could see $2 billion in new revenue," said Senator Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa. "Conducting the study will be the first step in achieving the vision that Corpus Christi and nearby communities have of growing new industries and a vibrant economy in the coastal region."
