AUSTIN, TX – Texas State Senator Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, has been named a "Champion of Free Enterprise" by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) for voting in support of pro-business legislation during the 2019 Legislative Session.
"Texas is consistently ranked the best state for business, because we work hard to support business owners. Rather than suffocating the market with burdensome regulations, the Legislature is always looking for ways to promote growth," Senator Nelson said. "I will always vote on behalf of the business community, and I am honored to be recognized as a Champion of Free Enterprise."
TAB works in a bi-partisan manner to protect and enhance the Texas business climate and make the state’s economy strong. Each session, TAB contacts the Legislature about the bills and issues that impact Texas businesses and releases a scorecard post-session, grading legislators' on their voting record, based on the issues that are critical to Texas business owners.
“We salute Senator Nelson, and our other TXBIZ Champions and Fighters for free enterprise," Jeff Moseley, CEO of Texas Association of Business said. "We credit them with holding the line on keeping Texas’ business climate strong.”
