There were four chemical manu- facturing plants in West Dallas. They included Demulso Corpor- ation, United Chemical, Thomp- son-Hayward Chemical, and Crescent Chemical Companies.

Although the production output and by-products from these plants are unknown, it can be assumed that their operations were at mini- mum, point sources for local contamination. United Chemical, for example, operated a plant with open air lagoons at 2500-06 Eagle Ford Rd.
