Trinity Portland Cement Co. was much larger than Lone Star Cement Co. and also built an entire community to support its plant operations.

It quarried a section of land northwest of Lone Star, and re- leased more airborne particu- late from three smokestacks into the atmosphere above West Dallas. Its West Dallas site was one of three facilities that the company operated in Texas. The other two were in Houston and Fort Worth.
