Senator Creighton Statement Regarding Governor Abbott's State of the State Address

AUSTIN — Today, Senator Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe) issued the following statement regarding Governor Greg Abbott's State of the State Address:

"I share Governor Abbott's confidence for the continued prosperity of our great state. The strength of our nation depends on the economic strength of Texas. The actions we take today will ensure our state remains America's driving force for individual liberty and economic opportunity well into the future."

"We have a constitutional obligation to keep our state efficient, transparent, and remain good stewards of every dollar entrusted to us by Texas taxpayers. Working alongside my colleagues, we will continue to defend our state's sovereignty, secure our border, pave the way for meaningful transportation solutions, and equip our children with the education they deserve."

SENATOR BRANDON CREIGHTON represents District 4, which encompasses Chambers, Jefferson and parts of Montgomery, Harris, and Galveston Counties. He currently serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water and Rural Affairs, the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, the Senate Committee on State Affairs, and as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce.
