AUSTIN – Texas State Senator Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, has been named a "Champion of Free Enterprise" by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) for her pro-business work during the 2015 legislative session.
“As a business person, it is a tremendous honor to be named a Champion of Free Enterprise. Keeping our economy strong and businesses growing provides jobs and opportunities for all Texans.” Senator Nelson said. "I respect the association’s advocacy on behalf of Texas businesses.”
TAB scores legislators each session grading them on issues which are critical in Texas business. “Senator Nelson showed strong leadership in helping to craft a conservative budget for Texas,” said Texas Association of Business CEO Bill Hammond. “We congratulate the Senator on a great session and thank her for her continued support of Texas’ business. Her leadership is one reason the Texas economy remains strong and vibrant.”
The mission of the Texas Association of Business is to continue to improve the Texas business climate and help make our state's economy the strongest in the world. For the full TAB report visit http://www.txbiz.org/cwt/external/wcpages/resources/voting_record_senate_2015.aspx.
