    • Senator Nelson represents the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), whose leaders will testify at today's hearing. UNTHSC has requested $12M in exceptional budget items, including $8M for a Center for Genome Guided Personalized Medicine and $4M for an Institute for Patient Safety and Preventable Harm. They have also requested $96.8M in TRBs for an Interdisciplinary Research Building.
    • Statement from Senator Nelson: "I am proud to represent the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Every year they graduate highly-trained medical professionals in the areas of pharmacy, osteopathic medicine, forensic science and others. This institution adds great value to the Fort Worth community and to our state's health care workforce."
